There is a big boat on the beach. It would be the wreck of a smuggler ship named Panagiotis. Navagio Beach is also known as Smugglers Bay and Wrecked Beach. At least there is shade here.

The Caves of Hercules

The Caves of Hercules are natural caves of the Strait of Gibraltar located about ten kilometers from Tangier.

14 km west of Tangier are the Caves of Hercules. Amazing and beautiful, this archeological site is mostly filled with mystery. Rent a car in Tangier to discover this extraordinary place.
Located not far from the city center of Tangier, the Caves of Hercules are certainly some of the most beautiful and enigmatic places in Morocco. From the interior, and through their entrances facing the Atlantic, one can see the sunset and the Cape of the Strait of Gibraltar. This opening facing the sea has been photographed thousands of times, for the beauty of the view of course, but also because it has the shape of Africa.
The view from the Caves of Hercules is very popular, but that's not what made this place so famous. Indeed, if the caves of Hercules are a tourist Mecca of Morocco, it is because the site contains the traces of a prehistoric occupation as well as an archaeological mystery.
No one yet knows who was able to build these caves which are partly artificial. Local beliefs want it to be an ancient civilization (from the Neolithic era, according to some). And this is not the only legend that surrounds the Caves of Hercules. If they bear this name, it would be in these places that the mythological figure would come to rest after his 12 works. The mysteries and legends surrounding the Caves of Hercules are numerous and based on few elements. But one thing is sure: the site is beautiful and worth seeing

The path to the waterfalls is beautiful and well signposted and has easy access for all family members. The first route also provides access to another important geographical accident, the Pont de Dieu. Arriving at the junction that separates the roads of the Cascade from that of the bridge, we will take the road of the latter following the bed of the El Kelaa river. Despite the slight slope, we can already notice the first waterfalls and wooden bridges. Throughout the path we can see frail cane constructions and ornaments of the road as benches that help to give the area a magical aura.
As the road becomes more complicated, the beauty of the area increases a notch.
The waterfalls are each time bigger until we reach the great waterfall of Akchour where the water seems to have patiently carved a magical decoration of capricious forms the limestone rock.
